About me
Hi! My name is Kelly. I recently graduated from MIT with a dual degree in computer science and urban planning/science. I care deeply about the intersection of design, technology and society. Through my work I aim to make technology more human — whether it's by visualizing spatial data to reveal social inequities in public spaces or embedding a teapot with AI to facilitate connection-making through story-telling.
At MIT, I worked as a research assistant at MIT's Levanthal Center for Advanced Urbanism and Civic Data Design Lab where I helped develop novel web visualizations such as Spatial Equity NYC and Living Heritage Atlas. I was also involved in the Digital Humanities Lab where I conducted historical & archival research as well as the Senseable City Lab where I contributed to data-driven urban science research.
I am all about putting tools into the hands of the people in order to enhance creativity, collaboration, and communication. I believe we can harness technology to do a lot of good and want to help others achieve this potential! Previously, I interned as a software engineer at Squarespace and Conservation X Labs. Currently, I've just wrapped up my internship on the R&D team at Foster + Partners and am looking for a new grad position.
